The up-and coming ‘blessed’ one Max Holloway put on an impressive performance at UFC Broomfield Saturday night, so much so that on his post-fight interview with Jon Anik after his win over veteran Cole Milller he was immediately asked about stepping up in competition to face Cub Swanson on April 18th.
I spoke to UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby and they’ve been saving a slot for you; UFC on big FOX, April 18th in Newark, New Jersey, against Cub Swanson! How do you feel about that opportunity?
Holloway did not hesitate in his reply:
I feel blessed man! I’m going to get back in it, back in training camp. Cub, be ready! Let’s give the fans what they want, and that’s a fight. Let’s do this!
UFC on FOX 15 is headlined by Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold in a middleweight bout in Newark, New Jersery on April 18th.
The night was finally here, UFC Fight Night Broomfield or UFC Fight Night 60. Either one will do, they are both the same event where former Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson took on Welterweight Brandon Thatch [who has not been out of the first round in his last 10 fights, or over 2 minutes, for which he has finished every single fight].
