Brazil Athletic Commission Overturn Silva vs. Dober fight to a NO CONTEST

After last weekend’s controversial stoppage decision, by referee, Eduardo Herdy at UFC Fight Night 62 in Rio de Janeiro where Herdy had decided to stop the action whilst Drew Dober was actively fighting his way out of an attempted guillotine choke by Leandro Silva, it has emerged now that the Brazilian Athletic commission have overturned the original decision of a win to Silva and made the fight, rightly so to a NO CONTEST bout.

This is the moment UFC referee, Eduardo Herdy, made his decision to stop the action in the fight of Leandro Silva vs. Drew Dober, for which called so much controversy even UFC president Dana White blasted the referee’s decision to award Leandro Silva the submission win over Drew Dober calling it ‘one of the biggest screw-ups of all-time’.

Unfortunately, Eduardo Herdy was already scheduled to referee the Godofredo Pepey vs. Andre Fili fight aswell, for which lucky for him, the fight took control of itself!

UFC Fight Night 62 Maia vs. LaFlare Full Results; Tainted by Clear Controversy!

Last night UFC Fight Night 62, came from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, where in the main event, welterweight Demian Maia put on a tactical clinic to cruise to a unanimous decision over Ryan LaFlare.

In the co-main event, Josh Koscheck suffered his fifth consecutive loss to Erick Silva via Guillotine Choke in the opening round. He is now faced with the ultimate decision, as to what is best for himself and his career. Whatever he decides, all I can say, is that it has been a pleasure for me, personally, to have watched him for the last ten years since TUF 1.

Controversy surrounded the Leandro Silva Vs. Drew Dober fight, due to the fact referee, Eduardo Herdy stopped the action mid fight just as Dober was about to escape Silva’s attempt at a Guillotine Choke (even the Brazilian fans were astonished). In light of these actions Dana White gave Dober his show money, and WIN money.
