UFC 171 WEIGH-IN RESULTS AND PICTURES INC 2nd/3rd ATTEMPTS!

DALLAS – All did not go to plan for today’s live UFC 171 fighter weigh-ins, and three fighters, including headliner Johny Hendricks, were over on their first attempt. However, the main-event fighter made it on his second attempt.

Hendricks initially weighed 171.5 pounds for his bout with Robbie Lawler, which is for the vacant welterweight title. Hedricks had two hours to make the 170-pound limit for the title fight. Seven minutes prior to the deadline, he hit the scale again and successfully made 170 pounds, avoiding a potentially disastrous affair for both him and the UFC.

Although the fighter looked drained on his successful second attempt, he’s now cleared to still fight for the vacant belt.

Preliminary-card fighter *Renee Forte (157) missed weight and will surrender 20 percent of his purse to his opponent. However, Kelvin Gastelum (171) finally made weight on his third attempt.

Cage Warriors #63 Weigh-in Results and How to watch

Cage Warriors 63 take place tomorrow night – December 31st (New years eve) – at The Helix, Dublin, Ireland.

Headlining the event is Scotlands Stevie ‘Braveheart’ Ray making his defence of the inaugural lightweight belt against Ivan ‘Buki’ Buchinger,which also happens to be Cage Warriors 150th professional bout for 2013 and what a way to end the year for the promotion.

John ‘The One’ Maguire makes his anticipated debut for the promotion since being released by the UFC after making five appearances for them, he faces Philip ‘The Honey Badger’ Mulpeter.

Jim ‘The Beast’ Alers will be putting his featherweight belt on the line for his second defence when he faces Graham ‘ Afterburner’ Turner.

Invicta 7 takes places at the Ameristar Casino Hotel, Kansas City on December 7th , where three, yes thats right three title fights takes place along side a full supporting card as you would expexct from the all – female promotion Invicta.
